Sustained Investigation 3
This project shows scale by using small art supplies to create a miniature world. The water bottle in the background shows the miniturality of the scene by providing a size comparison. The use of strictly art supplies was to create a unified supply whilst attempting to show how small the scene is. The tilt of the pencils is to make it clear that they are art supplies and when understanding that they are colored pencils it aids to the sense of scale that exists within the photo. The use of the camera flair is to act as the sun within the photo. In the future I will likely change the camera position to better have ground level feel within the photo. I would also likely attempt to change the color correction. The cool color temperature comes off as cool however with the sun flair and the fire the color temperature should come off as warm however the photo temperature does not properly reflect the expected color. The color temperature difference subtracts from the overall photo. I do like the use of art supplies and the concept, the miniature world project and use of materials created a fun project resulting in overall a good photo.
The Materials used for this project consisted of needed Erasers that act as rocks around the water fire place and in front of the log, Brown colored pencils used as logs and tree trunks, green colored pencils used as pine from a pine tree, green paper used as bushes and grass, blue tapes was used as water for the river and Q-Tips fuzz used for the water froth, finally dual colored paper used for the fire, the fire was red and orange one color on each side. The use of the photo flair acts as a sun and light shining down on the scene.
